Getting to Know Me: The Q&A

Are you a morning person or a night owl?
Definitely an early bird. There is something about that first light over the water that you just can't beat (especially with a coffee in hand).
Can you do a handstand?

Have you ever won any awards?
To be honest, quite a few over my 25 years in the industry! I tend to be a bit shy about them, though—I’d much rather the focus be on the stunning photos we take on your wedding day than the trophies on my shelf.

Do you have pets?
Heck yeah! We have a Springadore named Archie. He’s a chocolate bundle of energy and essentially the "manager" of our house.

If you could change one thing about your work, what would it be?
Better sunsets! Living in Northern Ireland, I’m always at the mercy of the clouds. I’m forever chasing that perfect, golden light.

What is one guilty pleasure you enjoy too much to give up?
Chocolate. It’s the one thing I refuse to negotiate on.

Mountain hideaway or beach house?
We already live by the beach, and I love it—but because I’m obsessed with hill running, I’d actually choose a mountain hideaway for a change of pace!

What do you want to be when you grow up?
It sounds cheesy, but either exactly what I am now—a photographer—or a sailor.

What is your favourite drink?
It’s a tie. It depends entirely on the time of day: a proper coffee to get the day started, or a cold beer to wind it down.

What sports do you play?
I’m a bit of an addict! You’ll find me windsurfing, surfing, or on a SUP. When I'm not on the water, it’s hill running and CrossFit (yes, I’m one of those people!).
Tell us one of your bad habits!
I’m terrible at the admin side of things. I’d much rather be out in the wind or behind the camera than sitting at a desk doing paperwork!
