Jake Samuels:  not really my favourite subject, but here goes… We moved from London over 10 years ago, my Wife (Jules) is from NI, we now live & work in Holywood,  been keen on photography since I was tiny (I even had a disc camera… in the 80’s), I maybe a little bit of a computer nerd, I hate being idle, rubbish at spelling and perhaps even worse at admin (sorry), really enjoy solving problems & fixing things – where would I be without Google?  I love windsurfing, open water swimming, running up hills & still think I could run further the my PB (52miles) 7 the odd real ale (now Kraft beer) + this year: trying to master the handstand & surfing.

Less about me – more about WHY :

Why should we choose you?
Photographs are important to you. You want those from your wedding to be exceptional.
You like my images – you appreciate how they appear more alive, more relaxed, more fun, more… something. And you want that.
Like us, you‘re one of those people who hates your picture taken so you want to hire someone who makes it easy, pleasant, and even fun. But at the same time, you want them invisible most of the day.
You are the type of person who prefers to deal directly with the artist who will meet with you personally over a glass of wine or a pint and give you one-on-one personalised attention from start to finish.
You think that most photographers’ wedding work looks pretty much the same and you want something better – something more you and not so ‘weddingy’.
You understand that the person you hire is going to be an integral part of your entire wedding experience and you want someone who can actually put you at ease and add to the pleasure of your day.
You’re fun. (Again just an amazing correlation – fun people always choose to commission me.)
You can appreciate and love our work. And you love us. (If you haven’t yet met us, you can reserve judgment on the latter!)
Personality of the photographer is important. Why?
Keep in mind that you’ll be spending almost the entire day (the most hectic and emotional day of your life) with your photographer. You want to feel comfortable around and supported by this person. You want someone who knows when to take charge and when to be utterly invisible.
I hope this wasn’t an information overload!
